Profile
Mary Leslie formed
her own company in 1996. She graduated from the Inchbald School
of Design in 1980 and has been involved in all aspects of
Interior Design ever since, including 7½ years running
Nina Campbell’s Interior Design Department.
Residential Design is Mary’s speciality. She welcomes
opportunities to work on anything from decorating one room
to the whole house, and enjoys being involved in both refurbishment
and new build projects. Her expertise means she is able to
devise imaginative, harmonious solutions which suit her clients’
lifestyles from the simplest interior to the most extravagant
installation.
Mary is a creative Interior Designer with an approachable,
practical attitude. She believes in listening carefully to
her clients and values their views. Mary encourages clients
to be involved as much or as little as they wish. She happily
moves between traditional and contemporary styles, and loves
working with colour whether that means vibrant patterns or
muted monochromes. She has a reputation for resolving challenging
situations particularly where clients have had an unfortunate
experience with other designers or builders. She expects a
high standard of workmanship and calls upon a skilled team
of consultants, artisans and tradesmen, many of whom she has
known for over 15 years.
The majority of her work is in the United Kingdom. However,
international commissions have included projects in the USA,
Europe, the Middle East and Africa and she will work anywhere
within reason.
Mary lives in London and loves to spend time in the countryside.
She is widely travelled and draws her inspiration from
her experiences at home and abroad - from the English
Countryside to Chicago or Oman to Peru. Her varied range
of clients means that she has learnt how people use their
homes in many diverse cultures and lifestyles, giving
her a broad understanding of how different people like
to live.
